Formed in August of 2010, ID VIP Team's mandate is to make the magic of original music available and affordable for the masses while supporting unsigned musicians in their own individual career paths. Through our efforts, we create gainful employment for unsigned musicians in the music industry.
Our not-for-profit "Sun, Snow & Our Show Concert Series Ltd"" highlights the talents of undiscovered artists at high profile venues such as community events, trade shows, concerts, and festivals. We target a "Tween, Teen and Twenty's" audience while still maintaining an ALL AGES FAMILY FRIENDLY format. We pride ourselves on our professional approach to creating tailored fit programs that are appropriate for our venue and on our ability to connect with our audience. We work closely with our partner venues, which include municipalities, not-for profit organizations and charities, to create and brand annual events. These events allow us, as partners, to share in the work and profits of events while still promoting and meeting the mandates of our organizations.
In 2012, ID VIP Team purchased Westrax Entertainment and inherited a 25-year history of DJ'ing private events. We now have comprehensive entertainment and music services for weddings, private, corporate, charity and municipal events. We have also joined forces with HOT 107 to power The HOT 107 Mobile Mix. This program combines ID VIP Team's DJ and Concert Services with the radio DJ Celebrities of HOT 107 to give you the most amazing private and public events available. We are a proud Agent Member of the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta and the Preferred Entertainment Supplier for the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues.
ID VIP Team is dedicated to support education in music through free mentor programs for emerging music students, fund raiser programs, charity concerts, and support "The Clean Scene". Our music scholarship, the Joey Welshman – Nokturnal/Ill.escape Scholarship, provides a $1,000 scholarship to an unsigned musician pursuing a post-secondary education in music.
We are proud to offer many free support services to unsigned musicians including mentorship programs, tax preparation assistance program, internship opportunities, branding & marketing workshops, and many more programs being launched in 2013. Our "family approach" with our musicians includes getting together every year to spend the second weekend in September at our own campground on our family lake at our exclusive annual Harvest Moon Festival that is only open to musicians, family, friends and supporters. It is a weekend filled with an open stage, a huge family BBQ, workshops, games and fireworks.
Some projects in the works for 2013:
A new Distribution program that offers unsigned music artists the opportunity to increase their play time, and increase their CD sales. This includes launching our on line radio station which will showcase the music of unsigned musicians.
We are starting production of an independent reality television show called “Walking with Musicians” which will follow ID VIP Team as they support unsigned music artists in the music industry and showcase the individual stories and journeys of 2-3 musicians in each episode.
